MTP (Microbiome Taxonomic Profile) is a unit of data that contains the taxonomic profile of a sample. At present, we provide MTP for bacterial and archaeal microbiome samples using 16S rRNA gene. An MTP is equivalent to a metagenomic sample.

An MTP is generated from NGS raw data using the EzBioCloud MTP pipeline and EzBioCloud 16S database. Because all MTPs in the EzBioCloud system (your own data, shared from your colleagues and those imported from EzBioCloud Microbiome Database) were processed using the same way, they can be directly compared to discover new findings quickly and accurately. We believe this is the only way to scale up microbiome analytics.
